General Exhibitions

Artists Workshop Gallery 20th Anniversary Exhibit, Ponce de Leon Center, Hot Springs Village, AR, July 2 - August 21, 2010.
Featured Artist, Show: Town and Country, March 30 - May 1 2010, Gallery 726, Hot Springs at 726 Central Ave., Hot Springs, AR. Reception during Gallery Walk on Friday, April 2, from 5 pm to 9 pm.
My painting Valley Ranch hung in the Mid-Southern Watercolorists Fall Exhibition at the Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs during January and February 2010.
Two of my paintings of Hot Springs hung at the Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs Holiday Members Show during the month of December 2009.
Featured Artist at the Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs for the month of November 2009, with an exhibit of twenty-five paintings titled My World in Watercolor.

Brush Strokes Exhibit, Garland County Library, Hot Springs, AR, July 1 - August 31, 2010, Clinton Avenue and Gallery Walk juried into professional category; Gallery Walk won Best of Show.
Mid-Southern Watercolorists 2010 Annual Exhibit, Arkansas Studies Institute, Little Rock, AR, June 11 - August 28 2010, Sound of Silence juried in.
Brush Strokes Annual 2010 Exhibit, Ponce de Leon Center, Hot Springs Village, AR, April 12 - May 3, 2010, Arlington Hotel won Best of Show.
Diamond National 2009 Juried Exhibit, Fine Arts Center, Hot Springs, AR, September 4 - September 29 2009, Clinton Avenue Looking West and High and Dry both juried into watermedia on paper category. Clinton Avenue Looking West won 2nd prize.
Brush Strokes Exhibit, Garland County Library, Hot Springs, AR, July 1 - August 31, 2009, Big Biker juried into professional category. Reception July 9 at 1:30.
Brush Strokes Exhibit, Woodlands Auditorium Lobby, Hot Springs Village, AR, April 15 - May 31 2009, High and Dry won 2nd prize, professional category.

Workshops and Demos

I taught a three-day Watercolor Workshop July 12 - 14, 2010, in Hot Springs Village, AR, under the auspices of the Brush Strokes art club.
On December 10. 2009, I was invited to do a 2-hour painting demo for the Brush Strokes-sponsored beginner watercolor class. I painted a half-sheet painting titled Sound of Silence.
On October 21, 2009, Richard Stephens gave me the opportunity to teach one session of his annual Garland County Library watercolor beginners class, and I included a 1-hour demo of the painting Early Snow. I repeated that demo for the Traditional Art Guild of Hot Springs on November 19.

Other Activities

In February, 2010, I became webmaster for the Brush Strokes art club website at www.hsvbrushstrokes.com.
My painting Autumn's Palette was chosen for the cover of the November, 2009 issue of The Springs Magazine, a monthly guide to arts, entertainment, and activities in hot Springs, AR.
In July, 2009, I became webmaster for the Artists Workshop Gallery website at www.artistsworkshopgallery.com.
On March 25, 2009, I became the website coordinator for Mid-Southern Watercolorists.
On December 12, 2008 I was elected President for 2009 of Brush Strokes, the fine arts club of Hot Springs Village.
I joined Arkansas first lady Ginger Beebe and other area artists on October 3, 2008 at Gallery Central in Hot Springs to autograph copies of the 2009 Artists Engagement Calendar.
My painting Seen Better Days was chosen for inclusion in the 2009 Arkansas Artist Engagement Calendar to be published by the Arkansas Governor's Mansion Association.
