| I paint things that interest me and places where I
long to be, hoping that my paintings also connect with others. My rural
landscapes speak of serenity and beauty. Coastal seascapes and urban
landscapes engage my sense of excitement and energy. Figurative subjects
communicate people's character. My paintings entertain and tell a story,
engaging the viewer.
I paint in watercolor because I love its strength, luminosity, transparency,
and spontaneity, and because I can achieve effects not attainable in any other medium.
